updates on our pistons

Ok, I can keep everyone up to speed better now with the new forums.

Last week while testing a piston my cylinder snapped at the rear and the handle came off where the cylinder crimps to the rear end.

I have my new cylinder but left my piston with Tom the machinist. I am waiting for a call back so I can get my piston back as well as test out the new pistons. I am hoping for meeting today/tonight so we can get this going ASAP! lol..

We will be doing a few versions and styles to meet all the needs.

Standard.... Will be a solid aluminum piston, no bells and whistles, aluminum everything except the O ring and pad. The price is yet to be decided and I will try to haggle on his cost to get everyone the best deal for all of us.


Upgraded... Will be aluminum base with stainless steel sear catch with either delrin or teflon guide ring.

There will end up being slotted and non slotted versions available later. To start we are gonna focus on the standard versions, then go to the upgraded version.

What would YOU like to see our standard pistons cost? This is all aluminum "6061" No delrin ring, it would be aluminum. Of course not the pad and O ring,lol..



I think I wanna hear what a few of you guys say about pricing, just so I can make sure were on the same page. I do have a price in mind, just wanna see what you think first.



I am thinking that those who are willing to trust me on this by paying now, me getting the materials, then making this "I plan for this coming weekend" then ship monday.

I just want to clarify, you mean the pad and o-ring are not aluminum and they are included with the all aluminum piston, right?

Yes, I may have worded it crappy,lol.. It has the standard pad and o ring, everything else is aluminum.

Well after a few machinists decided they werent able to do this, I decided to get my own lathe and make the M28 pistons myself..





My aluminum pistons arent much heavier than the plastic ones so you shouldnt notice any fps loss.

Currently only making the standard pistons "all aluminum"
Coming very soon will be the upgraded version "aluminum piston with Delrin guide ring and stainless steel sear catch"
